If you are a fan of San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) and other “comic” conventions, or didn’t get tickets for SDCC 2023, WonderCon in Anaheim is a great alternative. It’s from the same creators as San Diego Comic-Con. Although, it maybe not have the superstar celebrities as SDCC, it’s still has a lot to offer — from exclusive events featuring top comic publishers to industry insiders, highlighting your favorite movies and television shows, with the occasional surprise celebrity panels! Check out what the country’s best comic publishers and pop culture companies have to offer.
WonderCon also features many events from anime screenings to gaming areas to autograph signings, and everything in between. Dress up as your favorite superhero or comic character at WonderCon’s annual Masquerade Ball, or show off your legendary character art at the portfolio reviews.
Personally, I love WonderCon! I have not missed attending one in years. Parking is easier, and there are many restaurants nearby. Plus, we have Disneyland right across the street. It’s like a less chaotic SDCC; although, I still love both conventions — SDCC and WonderCon! As an added bonus: I live only a mile from the Anaheim Convention Center!
